My Experience With Lakme Absolute Shine Line Eye Liner In Blue
Packaging:Well, Lakme has made an evolution to their packaging from the release of their absolute range! These shine line eye liners come in a cute see through tube with a gun metal colored screw open cap attached to it. The applicator is just perfect to apply the liner. It helps to create perfect thin line as well as thick one. The tube is further comes in a black colored paper box which I have thrown any way!
Shade & Texture:
The shade blue is a shimmery gorgeous shade of blue and it is not blackish blue or deep navy blue. It is a perfect blend of pure blue with tiny shimmers in it and the shade is really beautiful which you can check in the swatch too. It is quite different from the shade ‘teal’ which is a lighter shade and doesn’t look flattering on lids. But this shade would suit most of the Indian skin tones perfectly. It has got a texture which is not so runny or not so thick so it’s very easy to apply and glides on lids quite smoothly.
Pigmentation & Staying Power:
The shade blue is quite pigmented but I need two swipes to make the line more prominent and to make the color popping. It looks gorgeous on lids but after 3-4 hours it doesn’t remain as fresh as just applied. After that period of time, it tends to darken and that shade doesn’t look good on lids. Though this is my personal opinion! It also feels stretchy after some time so it’s really a con. But it gets wiped off easily with makeup remover.
Pros:
- Affordable
- Easily available anywhere in India
- Gorgeous shade of blue
- Suitable for most of the skin tone
- Texture is perfect
- Travel friendly packaging
- The applicator is also good
- Well pigmented
Cons:
- It feels stretchy on my lids after some time
- Tends to darken the shade after some time of application and then the shade doesn’t look that good
Will I repurchase this?
No. I wouldn’t buy this again as there is so many blue liners are available now in India.
Will I recommend this?
If you are looking for a very budget friendly blue liner, you can try it. or also if you want to use this for short duration say 2-3 hours, then it’s alright. But this is not for whole day outing or something like that. If you want to buy something great, you can skip this!
