Nivea Soft - Light Moisturizer Review

    By Gayatri

I hope you’ve read my first review on this blog. Now that I’ve started reviewing yesterday, I’m constantly thinking of new ways to improve the way I’m reviewing. Today in this second review I chose Nivea Soft - Light Moisturizer to review. I have used Nivea creme a lot and never thought of trying this before. So, this time I wanted to check how it works compared to the blue tub.

Price: Rs. 230 for 200 ml. and Rs. 145 for 100 ml

Availability: Easily available both offline and online.

    Ingredients:
“Aqua, Glycerin, Paraffinum Liquidum, Myristyl Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Alcohol Denat. 3.6% v/v, Stearic Acid, Myristyl Myristate, Cera Microcristallina, Glyceryl Stearate, Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Lanolin Alcohol (Eucerit), Polyglyceryl-2 Caprate, Dimethicone, Sodium Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum.”

What Does Nivea Soft - Light Moisturizer Claim?
“Nivea Soft Light Moisturizer is a dermatologically-tested moisturizing cream that suits all skin types. It is enriched with Vitamin E and jojoba oil, which go deep into the skin and turn it into a fresh, soft, smooth and healthy-looking one. The light texture and fast-absorbing formula of the product make it highly effective and invigorating.”

    Packaging:

The product comes in a white colored cute tub with a screw cap. On opening I found an aluminium foil covered the tub properly. As you can see in the image, this is how the tub looks. This is the smaller one I got; you can get a bigger one as well. Since this is a tub I find it’s unhygienic to use; you need to dip your finger in it to take the product out and if you have long nails, you know what I mean to say. I understand the tub packaging for Nivea creme but I don’t think this product needs to be in a tub. So, this is a con for me.

    Consistency & Fragrance:

Compared to the creme I really liked its consistency since this one is so soft and silky to touch. Unlike the creme this is very thin and spreads easily on the skin. The colored silky cream smells decent and so there’s nothing to get worried about it.

My Experience With Nivea Soft - Light Moisturizer:
As claimed by the brand, this cream is super silky and very light. It gets absorbed into the skin very quickly and you find no trace of it on the skin in the next second. I extremely loved this one and using regularly. As claimed, this one definitely makes skin smooth and also protects it from drying. This is winter and I think it’s quite enough for me but if you have very dry skin then a little more moisturizing creams are suggested for you. Overall, I loved it.

    Pros:
    • Affordable
    • Very light weight
    • Cute packaging
    • Available both online and offline
    • Fragrance and consistency are good
    • Travel friendly packaging
    • Suitable for dry to oily skin
    • Doesn’t breakout
    • Gets absorbed into skin like magic
    • Makes skin smooth
    • Good for winters if you don’t have too dry skin
    Cons:
    • Unhygienic packaging
    • Not for too dry skin
    Will I Re-Purchase?
Yes, why not? This one should be handy always since in this season I really need it.

    Will I Recommend?
    Yes, why not.
No if you too dry skin.

    Rating: 4/5
